Your guide will pick you up from Reykjavík in the morning for the drive to Vík. If time and daylight permit, you’ll stop at Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. Upon arrival in Vík, you’ll board a super jeep for the journey to the glacier’s base.
The adventure truly begins as you strap on crampons and follow your guide on a hike across the glacier to the striking Kötlujökull ice caves. These caves are especially remarkable for the layers of black volcanic ash embedded in the vibrant blue ice.
